This is a bad html design because the text
is overwhelming and there doesn't seem to
be any clear hierarchy, so the readability is
extremely low. The photos are very un-
interesting and don't really seem to add anything
to the design.
The hierarchy is good, the reader
know immediately what lies ahead.
It directs the reader where to go
and seems to deliver what it
promises. Enough blank space to
make it readable.

I like this because right away I know that the time on these deals is running out. The images compliment the information on the page.And the copy is very readable.
I chose this as my influential blog because I like its look and feel. It's simple and will help Borrowed Earth Cafe announce a new website to their existing readership. I see the blog wordmark and tagline at the top where Mariano's is now. Update 3/17: This is a little out of my league for now.
This email has such a clean look and even though its text heavy, your eye is drawn down the page because of the image placement, the vertical line and the logo.

Reminder. You were to have a screenshot of an influential email and state how it will be influencing you and what you will be promoting.
ReplyDeleteThis email is about your website redesign. It is about creating a branding system and the email is a step toward understanding what we might do with the website. The html email promo does not relate to promoting your blog. Rethink this and repost and make it about who/what you are promoting for project 4.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll make my html email about Borrowed Earth Cafe's announcing a new website look. They offer classes, recipes, etc., but you'd never know it by looking at their site.
